Dec 9: Trip to the zoo

The zoo was about 15 minutes drive from our hotel. Last time I was at the zoo in USA was at least over 15 years ago. Before getting to the zoo’s entrance, they have these Guangzhou Asian Games 2010 characters made with colorful flowers.  The Asia Games event occurred this past November.  I am sure the hotels in Guangzhou were very expensive during that time.  The Asia Games is kinda like the Olympics.  So it is a very big event in China.Nathan looking at flamingosSome type of birds hoping to get food

Nathan was asleep most of the time while we were at the zoo.  This is a video of him dozing off.

Our tour is usually from 9am – 12pm and latest 1pm. The tours are setup this way so that small kids can take their naps by noon.  Today is our last full day in Guangzhou.  Tomorrow we will take the train to Hong Kong to head to Hong Kong Disney.
